T Series denies acquisition Udta Punjab music rights

Just yesterday Mid-Day discharged a startling news improvement that the music moghul T-Series has procured the music privileges of the Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Doshanjh starrer Udta Punjab for an incredible Rs. 18 cr. Further the article went ahead to express this new arrangement has surpassed the sum before paid to secure the music privileges of the Salman Khan starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo that sold for Rs. 17 cr.

Responding to the news Priya Gupta, President Films-T-Series says, “As a matter of first importance Udta Punjab music is not with us. Besides a film like that does not pull in music rights for more than Rs. 3 crores. The news is inaccurate as well as flighty”.

Though we know Udta Punjab deal with the drug addiction problems of a Punjabi rockstar we wonder what the guys at the tabloid were high on, guess they didn’t realize that research and corroboration are the key words when reporting. Shakespeare had once said, “What’s in a name? that which we call a rose. By any other name would smell as sweet” but in this case we guess the name is the one thing that it all hinged on…………
