The ex-Beatle asks “how VIP do we got to get?” as he and singer Beck are snubbed at a Grammys bash in Hollywood.
Sir Paul McCartney was left wondering what else he needed to do to prove his celebrity status – when he was turned away from a Grammys after-party.
The former Beatle – arguably one of the most famous faces in the world – tried in vain to persuade bouncers to let him into the bash at the Argyle nightclub in Hollywood.
A video published by website TMZ shows the exchange as the 21-Grammy Award winner had a second attempt at getting in.
McCartney then turns to his fellow musicians, who between them have 30 Grammys, and is heard saying: “How VIP do we got to get?”
He added: “We need another hit guys, we need another hit. Work on it!”
Beck replies: “Next year, next year…”
The trio then headed off to the Hyde nightclub for Mark Ronson’s Republic Records party.
Later, Tyga said he had no part in snubbing the ex-Beatle, tweeting: “Why would I deny @PaulMcCartney stop it. He’s a legend.
