As the presidential race heats up, Hillary Clinton can count a few more influencers on her side: On Thursday, the Clinton campaign revealed shirts that Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, and Public School have designed in support of the Democratic presidential candidate.
The limited-edition “Made for History” collection includes three shirts selling on her website for $45 each. Marc Jacobs’s tee features an image of Clinton’s face in red, white, and blue. “I am proud to share this T-shirt as a champion of equal rights, for the progress we have made and for the hope of continued progress with Hillary as president,” the designer is quoted as saying on Clinton’s campaign site.
Hours before walking in Marc Jacobs’s fall 2016 NYFW show, Kendall Jenner posted a picture to her Instagram account wearing his new shirt. “Shirt by @themarcjacobs. History by @hillaryclinton.
ory Burch’s limited-edition tee features the slogan, “Women’s Rights Are Human Rights,” written in rainbow colors on a white shirt. The shirt is “a colorful tribute to a seminal movement for women’s equality,” the designer declared.
Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow, the designers behind Public School, created a black tee with the words “Make Herstory” emblazoned on the front and the number “16” printed on the back, much like a sports jersey. “Real change comes from being brave, being different.
With these powerful icons of the fashion industry behind Clinton, we’re keeping our eyes peeled for the candidates’ next moves.
