63rd National Film Awards Winners
The 63rd National Film Awards service held at the Vigyaan Bhawan, Delhi saw the victors being given and respected the regarded and prestigious trophy yesterday, 03 May 2016.
The recompenses were given away by Honorable President, Pranab Mukherjee.
Among the performing artists who were regarded today incorporate Amitabh Bachchan, who won Best Actor for ‘Piku’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ performer Kangana Ranaut was given the Best Actress honor while the Best Special Effects and the Best Film recompenses went to the war film, ‘Baahubali’.
Acclaimed period film Bajirao Mastani, featuring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, won in seven classes, including a prize for chief Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Thespian Manoj Kumar, who essayed the role of Bhagat Singh nearly half a century ago, was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Kumar started his career in 1957 and is famous for his patriotic roles in films like ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’, ‘Purab Aur Paschim’ and ‘Shaheed’ among others. On learning about the award, Kumar, who is battling a bad back and hurting hip, announced his return as a director adding, “I never retired; once a soldier, always a soldier.”

This is Mr Bachchan’s fourth Best Actor win after Agneepath, Black and Paa. Mr Bachchan’s actress-politician wife Jaya Bachchan, son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai accompanied him to the ceremony.
As for Kangana Ranaut, it is her third National Award – she won the Best Supporting Actress award for Fashion and Best Actress for Queen………
