Homeland season 6 to be based on the U.S. Presidential Elections
True to her nature, Carrie Mathison refuses to stand down in the latest trailer of Homeland season 6. With fans eagerly awaiting the new season of the multi award-winning series, the latest 2-minute promo launched this week is dramatic to say the least.
After she thwarted a terrorist attack in Berlin, Season 6 picks up several months later and finds Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) back on American soil, living in Brooklyn, New York. She has begun working at a foundation whose efforts are to provide aid to Muslims living in the U.S. Season 6 will tackle the after effects of the U.S. presidential election, with the entire season taking place between Election Day and the inauguration. It’s a strange, transitional time in the halls of government filled with anxiety and different competing interests, where a very fragile and complex transfer of power takes place between the outgoing President and the incoming President-elect (Elizabeth Marvel).
Developed by Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon, the political thriller is based on the original Israeli series “Prisoners of War” by Gideon Raff. Homeland has won over 40 awards across its five seasons and is one of the most pulse-pounding action series that tackles the moral issues of the war on terrorism.
While we wait for Star World to air the sixth season of the show in January soon after the U.S., catch up on all that has taken place in the previous seasons by watching Seasons 1 to 5 of Homeland every Monday to Friday at 8pm only on Star World and Star World HD.
